About the Author
Fashion industry expert and author Hanim Dogan was born in Turkey and raised in the Netherlands. An authentic world citizen and fashion-seeking globetrotter, she has also lived in Paris, Shanghai, Istanbul, Amsterdam and Manila.
Hanim has an intense passion for fashion, which she has combined with her entrepreneurial skills. Driven and determined she has 25 years of experience in the fashion industry including executive roles in buying, sourcing, manufacturing, retail and E-commerce.
In particular, Dogan started her career at the fashion house Karl Lagerfeld in Paris, later became the Buying Executive for world leading retailer C&A in Belgium and Sourcing Executive in Shanghai, China. In 2013, she founded Styleluxx.com, an e-commerce business in Fashion and Cosmetics.
She also held the position of General Manager for luxury brand Polo in South Africa.
She has a post-graduate Design & Fashion qualification from the Paris Fashion Institute, an MBA in Economics from the University of Maastricht and obtained her Economic, Financial Management and Marketing degree from the Université Rennes II.
She speaks in English, Turkish, Dutch, French, German and Chinese /Manda
